Cathy Reisenwitz

Cathy Reisenwitz writes a best-selling Substack newsletter called Sex and the State. Her writing has appeared in the Daily Beast, OneZero, VICE Motherboard, Reason magazine, Liberal Currents, and other fine publications. She is the former chair and a current member of the Steering Committee for the Center for New Liberalism. She helped found Young Voices at Students For Liberty. She serves and has served on numerous boards, including New Futures, Inc., HUBS Coop, Feminists for Liberty, and the Huntsville Environmental Coalition. She’s spoken at numerous conferences, including at Lewis & Clark, Georgetown University, CPAC, and SXSW. She’s been quoted by the New York Times Magazine and wrote the foreword to Tom G. Palmer’s book, Peace, Love & Liberty. Her television appearances include Fox News and Al Jazeera America. She lives with her partner Rob, and their orange rescue cats, Sonic and Tails.
