Robert Tyler is a Senior Policy Advisor at New Direction – Foundation for European Reform, a think tank founded by Margaret Thatcher as the official foundation of the European Conservative Movement. Prior to working for New Direction, he worked as policy advisor in the European Parliament focused on security, counter terrorism, and geopolitics.
He was listed on EU Insiders 2024 list of who to follow on Foreign Policy in Brussels. He was a recipient of the 2024 Leadership Institute – Global Leadership Award.
He holds an MA in Security and Intelligence, and a BA in History of Politics, from the University of Buckingham, and is a PhD Fellow at the University of Maastricht, working on post-socialist memory politics in Central and Eastern Europe.
