John Devlin is Editor-in-Chief of SpeakFreely magazine and a veteran coordinator with Students For Liberty UK. As a writer, his work focuses on individualism, romanticism, bohemianism, and utopianism.
John first joined Students For Liberty in 2020 after attending LibertyCon in Madrid. Since then, he has led the publication of seven SpeakFreely print issues with a readership in the thousands, and organised events such as London’s Radical Liberal Bookfair. He is currently a Hazlitt Fellow with the Foundation for Economic Education and was previously a Prometheus Fellow with SFL.
He holds an MA in International Development from the Birmingham Newman University and has worked on multiple global development projects in the Middle East and West Africa.
Outside of his professional pursuits, John is an award-winning competitive slam poet and a singer-songwriter. He is currently living as a digital nomad searching for a promised land.
