Getting around

Madrid_metro_map

Madrid has a convenient system of public transport. The Metro and bus are the cheapest options. Buy a Multi card at a metro station and load it with a Combinado ticket for 10 journeys. Use it for three days and recharge as needed. You can purchase it at any metro station.

 

How to use it? The multi-card must be placed on the ticket reader, and the trip will be discounted with each validation. The validation screen will inform you of the card balance by counting the available tickets. Where to use it? You can use it for the Madrid metro, commuter trains, and buses.

 

Note: We suggest you use Google Maps, which should display public transportation times and routes.
 
If you use taxi services, and especially at night, it is always a good idea to order one from one of these apps (Cabify, Uber, Bolt, PideTaxi, or FreeNow).
