Vice President of the Fundación Internacional para la Libertad (FIL) and Head of Ongoing Learning at Universidad de Las Hespérides. Member of the Board of the Mont Pelerin Society.
He serves on several boards in the pharmaceutical, financial, innovation, and legal sectors.
Former Regional Minister of Economy and Finance of the Madrid Regional Government (2019–2023), and previously Regional Minister of Healthcare and also of Immigration.
He was Vice President of Universidad Francisco Marroquín in Guatemala (2014–2019), Secretary General of the FAES Foundation, and Member of Parliament (2004–2007). Earlier in his career, he served as Deputy Chief of Staff to Prime Minister José María Aznar (1996–2004).
He holds degrees in Law and in Political Science and Sociology from the Complutense University of Madrid.
