Syed Kamall is a Visiting Scholar at the Vinson Centre and a Professor of Politics and International Relations at St Mary’s University, Twickenham.
He has held various roles including the IEA’s Academic & Research Director and is a member of the House of Lords. Kamall is involved in initiatives like creating a UK version of Kiva and supporting community civil society projects. He has also served as a Minister in the UK government and was a Conservative MEP for London from 2005 to 2019, where he led the European Conservatives and Reformists group.
Previously, he worked in IT, academia, and as a consultant. In his leisure time, he enjoys family activities, music, and fitness. Kamall was born and raised in London, where he still lives.
