Chinese Dissident and Human Rights Activist


Zhou Fengsuo is a civic activist and a dissident from China. He was one of the leaders of the Beijing Students’ Autonomous Federation, the key student leadership group in the Tiananmen protests.

After the bloody crackdown on demonstrations, Zhou was arrested and later exiled to the Hebei Province by the communist government. He moved to the USA in 1995 and has since been involved in human rights activism, including helping human rights defenders working in China and diaspora members.
