Maria Khaliuk was born in Kyiv. All here childhood travelling around Ukraine she became passionate about diversity of Ukrainian culture and society and was excited to explore others.
Maria was preparing for exams when the full-scale war began. She enrolled in «International Relations, Social Communications and Regional Studies», interested in human rights, international organisations and law, particularly international humanitarian and human rights law
In summer 2023 she joined the team of the Center for Civil Liberties as a Student Intern, then she received a position as a Communications Assistant at the Communications Department. Currently, she works as a Personal Assistant to the Executive Director.
