Paulo Portas served as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister of Portugal between 2011 – 2015. He was also Minister of Defence between 2002 – 2005. Dr. Portas was the leader of the moderate conservative CDS-PP for 16 years, and MP for 7 terms.
He founded Vinciamo Consulting, a strategic advisory and business intelligence company, with activities in the Americas, Africa, Asia, and the Gulf. He is a “Geo-Economics and International Relations” professor in the MBA of Nova School of Business & Economics and in Universities and Academies of Europe and Asia.
He is also Deputy Chairman of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce, a Member of the Board of Trustees of Champalimaud Foundation, and a Non-Executive Director of Mota-Engil. He is an Honorary Member of The Academy of the Kingdom of Morocco and the author of the Sunday TV program “Global”.
